Man Has Put God on Trial and Found Him Guilty!: In Defense of God
$10.99 Quick ViewMan Has Put God on Trial and Found Him Guilty!: In Defense of God
Most people are taught that calamities of nature are caused by God. There are businesses that exist to replace property deemed destroyed "by an act of God." We feel that loved ones are taken by God through some disease or tragedy before we are ready for them to go. We learn growing up that God controls everything about our lives and we are to fear Him. We are told that if we don't straighten up and act correctly, God will punish us. But without God and His moral righteousness, how can we know what is the correct manner of conducting our lives? None of these statements made, that God is to blame, are true and there is proof that He really does love us more than we can imagine and He wants to give us every good thing that we desire. Since the fall of Adam from grace, God the Father has been executing His plan to redeem us back to a right relationship with Him. His desire is for us to experience His pure, unending and unconditional love. The decision to take part in that love is found in our free will to make up our own minds. He honors that because He wants us to respond freely to His love. Like presenting evidence in court to defend the accused, this book determines to show His innocence of guilt.

Tilly’s War: The War Within
$11.25 Quick ViewTilly’s War: The War Within
The main character in this book, a true, real-life person, was an unassuming man brought up in a large, working-class family. His life would begin in 1918 and he and his family would survive the depression on near poverty wages. He would go on to serve as a decorated airman in World War II and come home to restart his life suffering from PTSD. With that, life would deal him many adversities and challenges, many of them self-inflicted, but each time he would overcome. He would struggle with the effects of combat on civilian life and would use alcohol to substitute for counseling much to his dismay. Tilly, as he was called by his wartime air crew, returned home and went back to work to put the war behind him and get on with life. He would have a family of his own, raising three children on near poverty wages and suffered from alcoholism and depression most his life while his family suffered the effects of life's challenges. Much later in life, he began talking about his wartime experiences and this would help him to readjust to life as he knew it. However, returning to alcohol would bring him and his family hardships that would be difficult to reconcile. Every person who served in a combat role feels the effects of war and deals with those effects in varying degrees of tolerance. Many returning veterans restore their lives and go on to become productive members of society, but never forgetting their combat experiences. Many go on to college and become successful professionals in their fields of endeavor and lose the effects of war it would seem.

Feelings of ambivalence pervade young Henry's adolescence as he becomes involved with both Barby and her sister. Brandy, Barby's older sister, seduces Henry, and their secret sexual escapades entrap them in a love they try to ignore. As Henry struggles to endure the love of two sisters, college and careers carry them into adulthood. Then tragedy strikes, and the two families unite as they try to hold on to some kind of normalcy. These were the innocent years. The two teenagers sat and talked while warming themselves. "Henry, I hate you." Henry looked at Barby bewildered." What did I do now?" Barby reached out and pulled his hair over his head covering his face. "Your hair looks nicer than mine. I refuse to associate with a boy who has hair like that. It's bad enough that it's longer but it looks nicer too!" He looked at her rolling his eyes back and forth. "So wash it once in a while." She slapped him across his shoulder with her open palm. "Ouch," she said. "Now you are trying to hurt me." Her face broke into a repressed grin. "Barby, you hit me, 1 didn't hit you." She pouted now, sticking out her bottom lip. "Do you think I'm pretty?" Henry put his hands over his face hiding his response. "I think Brandy is pretty," he said in a low voice-almost a whisper.
