We accept all genre, from literary fiction and fantasy to business, memoir, and children's books.

Adult fiction: 70,000 to 120,000 words.

Young adult: 50,000 to 90,000.

Nonfiction: 40,000 to 90,000. Children's

picture books: under 1,000.

Microsoft Word (.docx). PDF is also accepted, but .docx is strongly preferred for the editorial review process.

Double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman, one-inch margins on all sides, with page numbers in the header or footer.

Include a one-to-two-page synopsis covering the complete plot or argument, including the ending. No teasers, please.

Tell us about yourself: your background, writing journey, previous publications, and anything that shaped this book.

We consider only previously unpublished manuscripts. Self-published works that remain available for sale cannot be accepted.

Our editors respond to every submission within 8 to 12 weeks. All decisions are sent to your email from productionsdept@thequippyquill.com. No manuscript goes unanswered.
